Removed puffs
Modified By dshnayder on 5/24/2010 3:22:47 PM)

Question:  I am currently running a CalPuff iteration and noted 98651 inactive puffs removed while the iteration is running.  Is this an issue with the model set-up or will the results be acceptable?

I’m trying to understand if this iteration is faulty or not and does it need some modifications for the next iteration.

Answer: This is a normal message that the CalPuff model displays from time to time during a model run. It just means that 98651 puffs have left the computational grid.  As long as your computational grid is sized correctly (usually 50km beyond all receptors and sources), there is no problem.
